When the drums start pounding with the first song on the cd ''Starting Over'' I immediately got into the music, it draws you in and traps you with a very upbeat tempo. At first listen it took me back to the days I listened to The Mighty Bosstones and also reminded me a little bit of Less Than Jake but as I listened to the rest of the cd I could tell right away this was not a copy cat band but a group who has worked hard producing a very original sound they could call their own.

ACES OVER KINGS, Seattle-This band wins a thumbs up from the get-go with a gambling reference in their name and one of the better recordings of the lot. Catchy Cali pop punk.
-Dan Halligan | Tablet Magazine | Issue 98

One minute into track one, three things immediately came to mind. One, this is a very vocal driven band, which is rare lately with bands putting out CDs with the vocals just being part of the music, or sometimes hiding behind the music. But these guys can sing, and they put it right out front to be heard, and understood.

This is a hooky, impassioned song that's really well-recorded. The band is tight, the guitars hum loudly, the structure isn't formulaic, and if someone hasn't picked this up for a record deal yet there is something seriously wrong with the universe, more so than normal, I mean.
